Chances are someone in your life is a survivor of sexual harassment, assault, or abuse, even if they have never shared their story with you. In 2021, Elizabeth Freeman Center served 373 survivors of sexual assault in Berkshire County.
During Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month, we raise awareness and educate our community about sexual violence and work towards a safe and just future.
Join Elizabeth Freeman Center in a month of action for sexual assault awareness and prevention. #30DaysofSAAM

Denim Day kicked off in Italy when the Italian Supreme Court overturned a rape conviction because the survivor was wearing tight jeans, “thereby implying consent.” The next day, the women of the Italian Parliament showed up in jeans, demonstrating solidarity with the survivor. Now an international movement, you can join the fight against victim-blaming! Don’t forget to wear jeans to our Stand Out in Great Barrington!
